Shopping For Designer Platinum Engagement Rings - The Ring She Will Adore

A designer engagement ring might cost you a lot, so how much more a designer platinum engagement ring will cost you? It's really a huge expenditure if you'll going to think of it. But it won't really matter if you'll be giving that elegant and brilliant ring to the one you want to spend the rest of your life with.
Platinum is a natural occurring metal that's rare and durable. It is perfect for jewelry making because it is quite hypoallergenic and physically white. This metal would perfectly represent your lasting love and commitment to your spouse to be; the perfect symbol of enduring and lifelong love.
Shopping for the perfect engagement ring is a stressful task. You have so many things to consider before buying one. Your budget should be considered first, then what your future bride would like to have, and the composition of the ring itself. Worry no more with designer platinum rings; though it might cost you a fortune, it is stunningly beautiful and brilliant that every girl will certainly adore.
Designer platinum rings are available in many styles. You can have it in a solitaire setting, three rings setting, and as well as bezel setting just to name a few; and many other settings available in the market today. The center stone can vary from diamonds to your favorite gemstones or birthstones.
One of the characteristics of this rings is that it can add brilliance to any stone that you place on it. You can also customize a designer platinum engagement ring to make it unique; have your own design to be handcrafted or you can choose the style, setting, metal and stone that you prefer.
If you're interested in buying a designer platinum engagement ring, you can browse the internet or go to the nearest jewelry shop. If you're going to search the internet, you may want to search the names of Verragio, Novori, Tacori, and Bergio to name a few of the famous jewelry designers. They are well-known for their platinum engagement rings and other platinum jewelries as well. You can be sure that what they offer is truly a magnificent piece and an authentic one.
It is also a must to be careful in buying a designer platinum engagement ring because some retailer may give you a discounted price for a fake one. So before placing an order, verify first the credibility of the shop by reading reviews about them. Getting a designer platinum engagement ring is one of the great wedding ideas because it is not just a simple purchase, it is an excellent investment that you can have for the rest of your lives as a couple and to your future family.

Rings and Ring Styles for the 21st Century

Fashions for rings come and go just as fashions come and go for clothes and hats. In the early18th century, the rage was for very elaborate rings encrusted with diamonds and gemstones, whilst seed pearl and Scottish silver were popular during the latter Victorian era. During the 20th century, ring fashions encompassed the look of almost every bygone era, as well as contemporary styles. This was partly due to custom-made rings becoming increasingly affordable via:

new ring making techniques ( for example, computer aided design)
more choice in ring metals and precious stones
the revolutionary facility of online shopping.
In the 21st century, consumers have more choice than ever before, but trends set (or at least influenced) by industry advertising or by celebrity vogue have included some noticeable new ones. Take a look at some of the top (early) 21st century ring trends below.
Engagement Rings for Men
The trend for men's engagement rings first became popular in the late 20th century mainly in the USA. However, fashion trends that start in the US have a tendency to spread worldwide, so it certainly won't be a surprise when increasing numbers of men in the western world wear engagement rings. Engagement rings for men tend to be bought either to match the ring worn by their fiance or to suit their individual style/ lifestyle. The footballer, David Beckham, famously wore a matching diamond-encrusted engagement ring given to him by his then fiance, Victoria (nee Adams) back in 1998. This celebrity couple are famously obsessed with fashion and consumerism and have been credited with launching many high-profile fashion trends for haircuts, outfits, clothing lines, perfumes and jewelry.
Right Hand Rings
In the early 20th century, expensive diamond rings were presented to women to seal their engagements and were regarded not just as fashionable pieces of jewelry, but as clear statements of intent. This was due partly to women needing a financial commitment rather than just a token of love in a climate of loosening morals, but also due to highly effective marketing by De Beers. The trend of presenting diamond engagement rings became more than a trend, it became a tradition.
In the 21st century, many (professional) women are remaining either single or marrying later in life. Recognising the 'gap' in the diamond ring market, De Beers again were foremost in creating a new trend (soon-to-be tradition) of right hand rings. The idea behind the rings being that unmarried women didn't need to 'miss out' on owning and wearing beautiful diamond rings. These rings are marketed at women rather than men appealing not only to their desire for beautiful jewelry, but also to their interest in making a statement of personal choice and style. Right hand rings are typically designed to be worn on an everyday basis by non-affianced women on the middle or ring finger of the right hand (the opposite hand to engagement ring fingers). With no set 'style', right hand rings can be made to suit any design and almost any budget.
Sapphire and Diamond Engagement Rings
With the royal wedding of HRH Prince William of Wales to Catherine Middleton in April 2011, the trend for sapphire and diamond engagement rings came into its own again. The ring belonged to William's famous mother, Princess Diana and when she first wore it in 1981, there was a high demand for replica rings. Princess Diana chose the ring herself and detractors at the time were a little critical of a ring choice that 'anyone could buy'. (Anyone with $60,000 that is.) When William's choice of engagement ring was unveiled, requests for similar rings were being received by jewelers around the world within minutes. Replicas cost mostly $1,000 to $2,500 using 1 or 2-carat certified sapphires surrounded by tiny diamonds (also set in 18-carat white gold). Sapphires are rarer than diamonds, but traditionally are less expensive because market demand is lower - although who knows, sapphires could become the stone of the 21st century!

The Perfect Ring - Engagement Rings

You've been together almost six years, and things have never been sweeter. She's beautiful inside and out, or has a personality to die for, her looks aside. You know she's going to be a great mom one day, that she's going to make all who live with her absolutely happy. Or maybe she's a little bit cranky, can't cook well, is mischievous and enjoys pranks and jokes, and detests children. Either way, you love her and she's yours, and you want her to stay yours for the rest of your lives.
So you get down on your knee, look up into her eyes and watch as her face goes from surprise to excitement. Then you pick up a penny...joking! Then you pull out the ring that you picked out just for her. It says everything that you would ever want to...
But engagement rings do cost a pretty penny and sometimes the pennies aren't there. You can wait and save, however. There's nothing wrong with that-all but the shallowest women will understand. It's generally better to wait, but you don't have to.
Either way, you have two options. You can trick her into picking a ring. Or you can choose it yourself.
Now, keep in mind that most women aren't all that picky. Others have their hearts set on a certain ring and have since they were small. Some women don't care if you give them a ring out of a bubble gum machine-as long as you love them and they love you. Others would prefer nicer engagement rings. There's nothing wrong with either of these.
Here are a few tips and methods to picking out perfect engagement rings:
1.Find out her ring size. Keep in mind that most rings can be fitted to her size if they aren't quite right, but if you take the time to figure out her size, then you're showing her just how serious this is to you. Now, there are a few ways to find out her size. If you know anyone who sells Avon or any other catalogs that might sell rings, you can have them visit and show her the catalog. Chances are that she might mention "Aw...this one is too small!" or "They don't have my size!" or "Hey! This is available in my size." after she gets through the makeup. That's the perfect opportunity to pipe up and say, teasingly, "Well, what IS your size?" It's far more subtle that asking her flat out, and you have the perfect opportunity to do so.
2.Look online, when she ISN'T at home. Remember how the previous "Aw! That isn't in my size!" Chances are if she lingered over that ring that she really liked the style. Keep a note of that and swipe another Avon or whatever catalog and go through and see which ones really frustrated her because they weren't her size. If you can take the recurring factors (Is it a simple band? Is it white gold or yellow gold? Eighteen carat or fourteen? Silver, platinum? What gems did she really seem to like? Did she ever say, "That would look ten times better with..."?) and design a special ring just for her, it'll make it ten times as special. Or you might find another engagement ring that fits what she likes.
There are also a few things to avoid, such as:
1.Telling her. That ruins things, even if she doesn't like surprises.
2.Whining over the price. Unless she's asking you to ask her to marry her, it isn't her fault you're spending so much or so little. If you don't think you can handle buying it, then postpone asking her and save the money. She's worth it; she can wait and so can you. You have a lifetime after all.
3.Get upset if she says no. It may just not be a good time. Maybe she wants to advance in her career, or there's something going on family wise. Either way, you need to keep an open mind. Maybe now isn't the right time, but there will be a right time soon. Just keep that engagement ring close.
4.Really buy a bubble gum machine ring. Engagement rings don't HAVE to be expensive, but there are instances when you take it too far. Even if she says yes, the most secure woman may wonder if your reason for such a cheap ring is because that's what you think of the relationship.

Throw a Sophisticated Dessert and Champagne Party

What’s the hottest theme in engagement parties these days? The dessert-and-champagne party. Below are some tips on how you can pull one off.
Start the planning with a tasting at your favorite bakery (Yum!), and select a combination of seven to 10 dense and light desserts for your menu. A few of our favorites are petit fours and chocolate covered berries.
If you don’t want to spend money at a bakery, DIY desserts are another alternative. If you love home-baked chocolate chip cookies, for example, you could serve them individually. Put each cookie on a plate with a swirl of chocolate like a chef would do.
Tempt dieters’ taste buds with a special assortment of unusual fruits, like star fruit, pineapple and mango, and be sure to include some sugar-free options for diabetic guests.
As for drinks, it’s easy to find nicely rated champagnes that aren’t too expensive at sites like Wine Spectator. The company also makes great favors.
Though this theme implies only champagne will be served, other beverages are recommended. To accommodate all of your guests, serve wine, beer, top shelf after-dinner drinks, non-alcoholic soft drinks, juice and specialty coffees. If you want to add dramatic flair to your event, try serving flaming Mexican Coffee. (Of course, you’ll probably want a professional to pour!)
In addition to specialty dessert and drinks, some couples also set up a cigar bar — the cigars are there for guests’ use and also as favors. You could even hire a cigar-rolling company to come in and roll cigars to order using different types of tobacco.
A party like this should take place in the evening, so make sure from the start that guests don’t expect dinner. State on the invitation that it’s a dessert-and-champagne only event, and begin the festivities after 7 p.m.
The best location for this type of affair? A trendy restaurant will work, of course, but so will a beautiful private home. If relatives offer use of their home as their gift to you, show your appreciation by picking up the tab for professional cleaning afterward. Giving back…now that’s a trend that will never go out of style!

How To Budget For Your Marriage Proposal

It’s a given, you will save up a pretty penny for an engagement ring. Your future fiancée will have it forever, so of course you want it to be just right. However, the proposal process doesn’t end there. Know in advance how much you’re allotting for the ring AND the proposal itself (décor, photographer, reservations, etc.).
It’s just like opening a birthday gift; the anticipation and the excitement of what’s inside the decorative packaging makes the moment even more memorable. Present the gorgeous ring to her not “over dinner” but in a more inspired way. Here are a few proposal samples so you can gage how much to save for your big moment (of course prices will vary depending on your idea and location).

Engagement Ring Buying

Why Won’t He Ask Me to Marry Him Right NOW?!

We get this type of question a lot from ladies in waiting. Here is one from Ashley who has been waiting 3 years so far… See what Andy, our expert, has to say.
“I have been with my boyfriend for just about 3 years and still no proposal! Although he is only 23 and I am 20 I feel as though we are ready. I ask him about it sometimes and he has comments like: “we are already practically married” or “why do we have to do it right now”?

We have already been living together for two years in a home that he bought for us. We wanted to wait until I finished college to get married but I will have my degree this December and still no proposal, even though I don’t want to get married right away after being engaged. I would wait around a year.
He just says “why do we have to do it now?” I already have one child from a previous relationship and we are one family and I would love one day to give him a child but he says not outside of marriage. But when exactly will that be? I feel like I am going insane.
My parent bug me constantly and have comments like why should he have to buy the cow when he gets the milk for free. And I understand that but he says he wants it but when will it be. He told me recently that I can go ahead and plan a wedding for us now but I just don’t feel right talking about wedding details when he hasn’t even asked me.
A:  That’s a whole lot of questions…but really you’re asking just one:  “Why won’t he ask me to marry him right NOW?!”
You’re anxious and it’s understandable because 3 years can seem like a long time.  You’re committed to this man, and you’re ready to take the next step on your way to living the American Dream, which for you includes a husband.  The only thing missing is a ring to get things moving along in that direction.
First off let me reiterate what I’ve said in other posts:  there is very little you can do to “get” him to propose.  I gave a not-quite-perfect, but somewhat useful answer in a previous post called, “How do I get my boyfriend to propose?”  It may answer some of your questions as well.
Clearly you would like to get engaged, but for some reason he isn’t working on the same time line as you are.  Be patient and love him anyway, because if this is “meant to be,”  he’ll come around and you’ll be walking down that aisle in no time. (Who  knows?  You may have a stronger marriage because of it.  Discuss that with your parents.)
What do I do until then?
Until that magical day comes there is something very simple, but very effective you can do to relieve some of your anxiousness:  Realize the good things in your life, more than the not-so-good things. (Yeah I know…it sounds like a bunch of new age mumbo jumbo…but it works.)
To greater or lessor extent, we all suffer from too much “future-think,” and not enough “what’s good about right now?” Having dreams and goals is great, maybe even necessary, but don’t forget to enjoy where you are as you move toward them.
You have a child, a home, a pending graduation, your parents, most likely your health, and a man to love who appears to love you in return.  I’m sure there is more if you sit and think about it so it wouldn’t hurt to make a list that you can refer to every now and again. (Especially when you are feeling extra anxious about the lack of a proposal.)
Happiness is having a dream you cannot let go of and a partner who would never ask you to. ~Robert Brault
So often we miss the good things sitting at our feet because our minds are stuck on a future that seems better than where we are now.  It doesn’t sound like your boyfriend is asking you let go of your dream of getting married to him one day.  That should make you a bit happier for now. (And now is all we really have anyway.  That’s the subject of different blog post though…)

After looking at rings for a wedding set for about 4 months I finally decided to purchase this set. I received them and they are perfect. Since they were such a cheap price I didn't expect them to be this nice. I wanted somethng that I could wear without having to worry about freaking out if I lost a stone out of one or banging them around when working. I am very picky, my husband says I have a little bit of OCD. I was concerened that the center stone would be to big and look fake or that the other stones would be so small you wouldn't be able to see them at all. I also was worrying about other issues that I had read about on reviews of other rings. The Size, the center stone being lose right out of the package, the stones turning black or quickly falling out. I had also read the review on this ring that said that there was a little gap between the rings because the center stone on the engagement ring was not set up high enough to let the rings nest together. So I was very anxious to actually receive the set in the mail and try them out for myself. They finally got here and I was VERY surprised to say the least. They were perfect. The stones were just the right size, not to small but not big enough they looked fake when showing people. The women at my work thought that they were real. All of the stones were secure in their settings and they are still just as sparkly now as when I took them out of the box. I wear a size 10 ring and its hard for me to find nice rings in my size. When I Took these out of the box and put them on they fit perfectly. There is a TINY gap between the rings but it is VERY TINY (so tiny I can't even think of anything that would fit in the gap between them, maybe you could get a VERY tiny knife blade between them but that s about it.) and not noticeable to anyone other than the wearer. I am VERY pleased with this purchase and I will be ordering from this seller again!
